Personal Rapid Transit Vehicle Cleanliness and Vandalism

Concern:

Won't the small vehicles quickly become dirty? What happens if someone has been ill in a vehicle? What if the vehicle has been vandalized?

Reply:   This is a major difference between PRT and traditional, large-vehicle transit systems. While all transit systems face challenges with litter, debris, and vandalism, a PRT rider is never forced to ride in a vehicle they find unacceptabe.  If the vehicle being boarded is unacceptable, for any reason, the patron presses the service button at the vehicle berth and informs the system operator. The vehicle is then commanded to proceed directly to the system's service facility while the rider takes the next vehicle in line.

PRT Skeptic's Pages

Here we attempt to address issues brought to us by PRT skeptics in a question and answer format. If you have a concern that you think should be addressed, send us an email at Info@ACPRT.org or fill out the Skeptic's Question form and we will do our best to answer it.

Be sure to check back every once in a while as we will be adding items from time to time.
