PRT Benefits for Businesses

Reduced Parking Requirements

Business parking areas can be reduced with a pervasive PRT system, lowering maintenance and tax expenses. Parking areas that are no longer needed may be developed or sold, turning a financial drain into positive cash for the growth of a business.

Shorter Installation Disruptions

Disruptions due to installation of a PRT system will be much shorter than those needed to install a similar amount of capacity using older technologies such as streets or rail. Installation in any one spot should not take longer than a couple of weeks, versus months for other construction. In addition, while the guideway is extended at the ends, customers, employees, and clients can walk underneath the completed section instead of being blocked by torn-up streets or rail right-of-ways.
Low Impact Construction Guideways sections are constructed offsite and then quickly assembled - minimizing construction impacts

Convenient Customer Access

Large retailers may be able to have a PRT station incorporated directly into their existing buildings or placed just outside their entrance. Customers can then leave the PRT system and directly enter a mall, large office center, theatre, etc. They would arrive without having to fight traffic, find parking, or walk across a parking area through streets in inclement weather.
